Avery Prep Tutoring is the real deal. Instead of paying someone random $45/hr to work with your kid and hoping for the best - just invest in a package with Avery and you’ll be so happy you did. Krystyna and her tutors have this down to an absolute science. It’s methodical, precise, and effective. My son wanted to improve his score to reach his goal of 1500 on the SAT. A friend recommended Avery Prep about 4 weeks before the exam date so we knew it was short notice, but Krystyna and Ethan took us on & quickly got a plan with Hudson & he exceeded his goal by 30 points! If you are not wanting to do trial and error with multiple tutors or you have invested time and money before with not much difference, look no more! Who knew online tutoring could be even more effective than in person - efficient and convenient. Also worth noting is everyone I interacted with is extremely professional, kind, and encouraging. My daughter started working with Krystyna when she started 10th grade. Math and Physics were getting difficult and she needed someone who can help her push through. Krystyna is very very knowledgeable in her work. She brought my daughter’s grade up to an A and kept it up for the last 2 years. She is kind, knowledgeable and persistent. She works with school teachers to make sure they are on the same page. I highly recommend Krystyna to anyone who needs to have their kids succeed in their academic work.

Krystyna made all the difference. Both of my kids are pretty sharp but the ISEE test was foreign to me and my children. I decided to hire Krystyna after a recommendation from a friend who had incredible results for her kids after her tutoring. I didn't want stress my children out, yet I wanted them prepared. Had we had the benefit of more time, I may have scheduled even more sessions. We had an initial pre-practice test session to give the kids the lay of the land of ISEE test. I then had them take full practice tests on their own the next day. They both alright, but the results were not to what I knew was their potential. In the next days, Krystyna took an hour with each of my kids to go through the questions they'd gotten wrong and whatever she did, was like MAGIC. My oldest got an incredible score on her test! I'm thrilled! My son's results are still not in, but I'm confident he did great as he felt very confident in what Krystyna had taught him. She has a very calm demeanor and has this cool, approachable personality that my kids (and I) loved. She took all the stress away and my kids were actually excited to take the test which was a miracle. I credit her completely with jumping my daughter's score up to "stellar" instead of "meh". So worth It. Obviously, I highly recommend.

Krystyna has been tutoring my son in various math and science subjects throughout middle and high school and built a great, trusting relationship with him. These are not his favorite classes, but he always comes away from the sessions with a renewed outlook on the work and a positive attitude toward what he can accomplish. Krystyna is magical. My son wouldn't have made it through algebra II nor physics without her. She was able to connect with him (he actually liked going to tutoring sessions!), she's "cool" (always a benefit for teens!) and she knows her stuff. Most families receive a tutor recommendation within 24–48 hours of submitting the form. Start dates depend on availability, but we aim to schedule the first session as soon as possible.

We tutor virtually nationwide. In-person support in Los Angeles may be available on a limited basis depending on subject and tutor availability.

Most students meet 1–2 times per week. Frequency depends on the goal and timeline — upcoming test date, admissions deadline, AP exams, or an academic turnaround. Consistent weekly sessions usually create the fastest momentum.

We clarify the goal, establish a baseline, and identify the highest-impact gaps. From the first session, we begin targeted instruction—using clear explanations, visuals, and structured note-taking—so students start building real skills immediately.

Yes. With a small, highly trained team, we’re intentional about every placement—but if it’s not the right fit, we adjust quickly and move your student to a better one.

For test prep, yes—always. It’s targeted and designed to reinforce retention and make each session more productive. For academic tutoring, it depends on the student’s goals—but there are always clear next steps. That might be focused practice before the next session, a plan leading up to an upcoming test, or—when a student has truly mastered the material—permission to rest, reset, and celebrate the win.

Sessions cancelled within 24 hours are billed in full (or deducted from prepaid hours). This protects the tutor’s reserved time and the preparation that goes into each session.

Sessions may be recorded for internal Avery Prep use only, to support tutor training and quality standards. Recordings are never shared outside Avery Prep. Opt-out is available — just let us know.
